Yes, it is permitted/allowable under the Rules of Golf. This ruling was made in March 2024.
However, please note that if a player uses the GameGolf mobile application during the round to process or interpret playing information that artificially eliminates or reduces the need for skill or judgment, such as the player's detailed shot data from strokes made during the round or another player's shot information published during their round, the player would be in breach of Rule 4.3a of the Rules of Golf.
